What We Do
The STPS provides full service policing to ten participating St'at'imc communities. This service includes Motor Vehicle Act (Traffic/M.V.I), Provincial Offenses, Criminal Code, Child Family Community Service Act, Forest Service, Wildlife Act, Community Charter, and Restorative Justice. Preventative Policing is supported through visibility and patrols. The STPS participates in community events, Elders luncheons, Remembrance Day parades, May Day parades, spiritual gatherings, funeral escorts, Unity Rider escorts, Chief and Council meetings, D.A.R.E, bike rodeos and more. The STPS encourages volunteer participation through the Citizens on Patrol (COP) program. |
