Citizens on Patrol
Citizens On Patrol (COP) is a group of community members who participate in a community-based crime prevention program in co-operation with the Stl’atl’imx Tribal Police Service. Through observation, documentation and reporting, members of COP provide a presence in their community while patrolling by vehicle, foot and bicycle. COP members increase the awareness of suspicious and dangerous or unusual activities happening in the community. Members are trained to use safe practices at all times. They act as the extended “eyes" and "ears” of the Stl’atl’imx Tribal Police Service. Click here for the COP Overview of Guidelines and Responsibilities To start volunteering, form a group in your community. Read the Guidelines to determine which members can participate. When ready, have a group leader reach out to the STPS Community Liaison Officer assigned to your community. Click here to find your Community Liaison Officer. |
