Crime Severity Index Report

The 2021 Crime Severity Index Report of the ten participating St'at'imc communities can be printed out and shared among its members.  What is the CSI Report?  The CSI monitors the severity level of police-reported crime. It measures the overall seriousness of crime from one year to the next by tracking both the presence of crime within a community and the seriousness of the crimes committed. Comparing both the presence of crime and severity allows someone to better understand the impact that crime has on individual community members, their families and the community as a whole.  Why does this matters?  Research shows that higher levels of crime severity substantially reduce personal and community quality of life. Hence, having a low CSI score is an indicator of community vitality and a sense of security.
